Pastor Bob's story is a great display how God can change a life that is surrendered to Him. Honest and transparent, the story of his journey is easy to read and follow. The book is punctuated with apropos visuals throughout Bob's journey and the page numbers resembling an odometer are a clever touch (the story tells of Bob and his wife following God and driving across the US to start a church in Fort Lauderdale).
I can't honestly review this because it was for my son. I did not read the book.
Great read. Very intertaining while delivering God's truth. This book is not geared to only non or new believers but to growing believers needing some new perspective in how God works in our lives.
I purchased this book as a gift for my husband. He said he enjoyed it. The book arrived in good condition.
Great book! Very honest and humble. Bob shows you that the lord can use and will use anyone and the Lord can bring you out of very dark places and take you to the extreme opposite.
This book is a short, easy read. The author is very honest about his past, and about how coming to know Jesus completely changed his life. Like many of the Calvary Chapel pastors, Bob Coy was a drug dealer before he became a pastor - of a mega-church, no less! If you know someone struggling with addiction who refuses treatment, refuses church, and won't even approach God for help, try sharing this book with him/her. It might be what is needed to demonstrate the depth and power of God's love, and His desire to save and cleanse the worst of sinners. Be blessed!
